Derive Logic wins third award in 2017!  This time
Best Employer Contribution from Cirencester College

A fantastic 2017 for Derive Logic has been finished off in style with a very special award from Cirencester College, one of our most important local partners.  The award for Best Employer Contribution for the College’s apprenticeship scheme was awarded at their 26th Annual Awards Ceremony, the event took place on the 18th December in Cirencester.

The award recognises the work everyone at Derive Logic has contributed to its Advanced Apprenticeship Programme now in its 4th year, but also the support the company has provided to the College in recent years.  There to collect the award on behalf of Derive Logic were Chris Gough and Jon Morris (pictured).

Perry Fawcett our CEO says “Great companies should be judged by what they put back into the communities that they are based in, not simply on their turnover and profit.  This has been a fantastic team effort and very well deserved, it is down to everyone’s hard work and commitment to young local young people and giving them a head start in the IT industry”.

Celebrating a record breaking & extremely successful November

November was an extraordinary month for Derive Logic.  November turned out to be our best ever month for both revenue and profitability, with some amazing business being closed thanks to an extremely strong performance across our business. 

During November we won the Channel Services Provider of the Year 2017 award at this year’s CRN Channel Awards in London, we were also confirmed as winner of Best Employer 2017 by Cirencester College locally.  As well as winning several impressive deals with our partners for a range of professional and managed services, we also renewed our largest Managed Services contract of 2017. 

Thank you to everyone’s commitment and dedication in the Derive Logic team, this has been an exceptional performance to be proud of.

 

 

Scott Gough joins to lead our Project Management Office

Welcome to Scott Gough who joins the award winning Derive Logic team today as Project Management Office Leader. Scott joins us from Carillion Health and brings with him a wealth of Project Management and client relations experience, he will focus on ensuring our client service remains industry leading and client projects are delivered to the highest possible standard. Welcome on board Scott!

 

Derive Logic scoops second award of the year from Cirencester College for Best Employer

We are delighted to confirm that we have just been awarded “Best Employer Contribution to the College – Apprenticeships” by Cirencester College for our Advanced Apprenticeships Scheme.   Although the official ceremony will not take place until December, today’s announcement by the college becomes the second award the company has received for its work with apprentices and young people from the area.

Derive Logic is shortlisted for Channel Service Provider of the Year 2017 at CRN Channel Awards

We are delighted to announce that we have been officially shortlisted for this year’s CRN Channel Awards 2017 in the category of Channel Service Provider of the Year.  This represents a fantastic achievement as the awards attract hundreds of entries for the various categories.  The awards ceremony takes place in November in Battersea in London, so fingers crossed!  Well done to our entire team across UK, this is recognition all our hard work with clients and partners.

Derive Logic Scoops Award at Gloucestershire Apprenticeships Awards 2017

We are very proud to have won the first award tonight at this year’s Gloucestershire Apprentice Awards 2017, for its Advanced Apprenticeship Programme now in its 4th year!  The awards ceremony took place in the Gold Cup Suite at Cheltenham Race Course, Derive Logic beat stiff competition to take the award home in front of a packed ceremony.  Jon Morris who runs our programme collected the award on behalf of the whole company.   A huge thank you to Cirencester College for supporting us, they also picked up an award at tonight’s glittering event!

Summer BBQ

Cakes fly out the door at our charity cake bake sale & employee summer BBQ!

Today our staff enjoyed a BBQ watching the planes from the Fairford Royal Air Tattoo fly over the office, not to mention an impressive selection of cakes on offer at our charity cake bake sale in aid of its 2017 chosen charity Cots for Tots based in Bristol!  Well done to Stephen Dulson for arranging the cake bake sale and raising an incredible £360!

Derive logic continues to achieve impressive growth as it accelerates its business across the UK and globally, this week by opening new offices in the IT Centre, York Science Park.  Derive Logic is a leading independent ITAM consultancy business in the UK, has opened it’s York offices to serve its growing Partner and Client base in Central and Northern England, as well as Scotland and overseas.   Perry Fawcett CEO at Derive Logic states “This is extremely exciting time in Derive Logic’s journey. Apprentices Aidan Kielty & Chris Rule graduate from Cirencester College

Congratulations go to Derive Logic‘s apprentices Aidan Kielty & Chris Rule, who graduated today at Cirencester College.  Both Aiden and Chris joined Derive Logic’s Advanced Apprenticeship Programme in our 2016 intake and studied at business courses at the college as part of the programme, passing their courses and graduating with other students today!  For more information on our programme and available apprenticeships click on the link below.

Chris Gough becomes Derive Logic’s Chief Digital Officer, focusing on our client’s Digital Transformation

Chris Gough takes up the new role of Chief Digital Officer at Derive Logic, Chris who was one of the founding member of Derive Logic takes up the role with immediate effect.  As Derive Logic continues to grow, Chris will work closely with our partners and their clients to define and deliver robust digital transformation strategies.   Working strategically with leading global organisations, Chris will help them ensure that they achieve real business outcomes and effective IT Governance often in complex and fast-moving environments, though the combination of ITAM thought leadership and best practice, helping them strategically align IT supply, people, technology and process.

Tony Doy joins Derive Logic as Head of Service Engagement

Derive Logic is pleased to announce that Tony Doy has joined our growing team as Head of Service Engagement working closely on developing strategic relationships with our partners and clients.  This is the latest appointment in recent times and represents a major milestone in our business’s journey, Tony brings with him a wealth of experience and knowledge that will drive our partner and client engagements.  Tony’s focus will be developing and managing our client and partner relationships, delivery of large client projects through effective engagements, project management and operations, ensuring every engagement is delivered as agreed with our clients and partners.

Tony served with the Royal Air Force for 22 years, initially as an Electronics Engineer and then transitioning to IT Operations.  He did tours in Germany, Cyprus, Italy and various countries in the Middle East. He also managed a team of engineers supporting an electronic diagnostic system for the Merlin Helicopter both in the UK and in deployed theatres around the world.

Derive Logic’s new branding includes a new redesigned logo, imagery and core messaging. Our new branding will promote our value proposition of Assuring Digital Transformation, in a complex, fast moving world, we allow businesses to see their IT assets in black and white. Our services enable clients to achieve effective IT governance and assure digital transformation, manage their risk, compliance and performance. Our clients use our intelligence to avoid unnecessary cost and financial penalties, whilst optimising their IT investments.

Our new logo specifically its colour palette, sharpened icon, modern open type face and creative links to our old logo, gives us a forward-looking, energised identity that is so important in our market. Our new logo reflects a sense of change, while reminding us to remain true to the core values of delivering on our promises, working as one team and taking pride in everything we do. These changes will now be reflected in our collateral, stationery, signage and website moving forward.

Proud finalists in Gloucester Apprenticeship Awards 2017

We are proud to have been named as finalists in Gloucester Apprenticeship Awards 2017.  Since we were established we have developed young talent from the local area through our Advanced Apprenticeship Programme, building their skills, knowledge, experience and qualifications to the highest levels. Taking several apprentices on each year has represented a significant investment and commitment in terms of time, budget and administration, but we feel this is an important initiative in our strategy to invest in our people and its fantastic to have been recognised for our efforts.

Christopher Lewis joins Derive Logic as Head of Solutions & Marketing

We are very pleased to announce that Chris Lewis has joined the Derive Logic team as Head of Solutions & Marketing.  Chris has over 22 years’ experience in Marketing leadership in the IT and Technology industries, with a proven track record he has built several high performing and multi award-winning marketing teams.  Chris has held Marketing leadership roles at organisations including Marconi Communications, SCC, Infor and most recently was Marketing Director at Dimension Data UK & Ireland for several years following the acquisition of NextiraOne in 2012.   Chris will work with the leadership team to develop Derive Logic’s propositions, drive its alliances with key partners and Marketing activities.

Derive Logic announces Cots for Tots its chosen charity for 2017

Derive Logic is proud to announce Cots for Tots based in Bristol is it’s 2017 charity, after being chosen unanimously by its employees.  Our team have loads of fund raising activities planned this year in support of the charity, more details about these will appear on our Facebook page.   Cots for Tots supports the Special Care Babies Unit at St Michael’s Hospital in Bristol, it raises funds to support the world-class work of the unit’s staff, saving the lives of the sickest, most premature babies from Bristol, Bath, the South West of England and South Wales and to entirely fund the running costs of Cots for Tots House which provides free accommodation for parents.  More information about the charity can be found at http://www.cotsfortots.org.uk/.

Jon Morris joins Derive Logic as Operations Director

We are pleased to announce that Jon Morris has joined our Leadership Team as Operations Director.  Jon has worked in the IT industry for over 25 years having started as a graduate at IBM. He progressed from systems development technical roles into project management with large global deployments and into senior leadership roles covering strategic and operational teams in development and infrastructure.   Jon’s focus will be to further develop our Managed Services portfolio, ensure our operations growth is aligned to our rapid business growth and to develop our people, which remains a key strategic goal for Derive Logic.  Jon will also own and build onto our Advanced Apprenticeship Programme, managing the initiative and development of our young talent in the coming years.
